fuel relay?

Post

since owning the my caddy i have never heard the fuel pump prime on ignition but its always started fine, few things been going wrong with the car lately and it seems one ting after another :( now when i come to it in the mornings the fuel pump won't kick in when I'm turning it over and i have to wiggle the relay and then it works, i also tried using another relay so the pump runs constantly and it fires up fine so i tried another relay from a golf done car i have but still having the same problem, but its only in the mornings for some reason when the car is cold? would it be worth trying a new relay and if so wheres the best place to buy one from?

thanks Tom

As you have already tried another relay I would rule that out and start looking at the connections to the fuse box and fuel pump, check any earths around the engine bay.
My fuel pump does not prime neither, it seems some relays prime the pump and others dont as I changed mine to a new one from GSF and it started to prime the pump before starting, I refitted my old relays and back to how it was.

Does your relay get hot after a drive?

sounds to me like the socket might be a bit grotty if 2 relays have down the same, but check the wiring to the coil, the black/red wire to the coil -ve is the revo signal plus trigger for the kjet relay :)
