What is this connector called?

Im replacing my negative battery cable, but I can't find a replacement for the connector that attaches to the gearbox. None of my local shops sell it, and I can't find it online.

Does anyone know if it has a specific name, or where I can buy one?

Hi, I managed to get a good secondhand earth strap and gave it a good clean.

However I have just had a google and found this link for a Golf mk2 where they recon then, I suggest that you discuss with the supplier.

Hope this helps.

See link on next posting.

You can use 2 off teh shelf cables, one from the battery to the frame, then a battery jumper from the ground to the engine or tranny.  Just make sure that your frame stud s clean, use 3 large fender washers next to frame, between the cables then on the nut side.  This will  sandwich the cables after bolting it together, Spray with battery corrosion preventive spray.  The off the shelf cables are shielded., Just get the one of the battery side with the estra lugs that you ca attach the different ring connectors on yours to the new cable with a crimp and it doesn't interfere with the nut.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?
