Finally installing my rear wiper which was removed by previous owner. Does anyone know how best to align the linkage in the correct place. Can you pop linage off simple or is this the wrong thing to do
Thanks

I would lift the wiper arm up of the screen and let the wiper do a couple of wipes as I find they don't always park in the exact same spot then adjust where the wiper arm parks then lift the wiper arm of the screen again to check it's going the right way and wont damage the paint etc, if it seems ok put the wiper arm down and give it a go.

Thanks for the advice and I too thought that may be the way to go but when the motor is in the tailgate there is no way you can access the motor nut and spindle.

then fit it to the car and the mech to the motor once wiper arm is in the correct spot. as said lift the wiper arm off screen and try it to make sure all is well

on the mk2 its easy as the nut faces backwards thru the hole in the tailgate, i would assume the mk1 is the same?
