Pierburg 2B3 Carb, dodgy wiring

Post

Looking at this picture in the Haynes manual:

I appear to be missing the Thermoswitch section of my cooling system. Instead, my Carb appears to have the hedgehog connected to a random powerfeed and the autochoke heating element is connected to the distributor, so I guess it's getting a constant voltage regardless of the engine temperature.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for this, or find a better circuit to wire them up to? Can't be doing my fuel economy any good with the preheaters in the carb being powered up all the time I'm driving!

Update - found one and repaired or. Now I realise I have no idea what wire terminals run to it - anyone know?

This is pretty much all I have under the bonnet. One cable from the carb body heater, that runs to the aircut off solenoid + then to a 12v feed.

The carbs auto choke wire is currently running straight to a positive terminal on the coil.

The inlet manifold heater runs to a red wire that disappears into the bulkhead somewhere.

Anyone know?
