Cluster drama - oil buzzer/no mfa/weird clock
My '83 mk1 GTI - was sitting many years now I drove it from UK to Amsterdam - instruments slowly failed on the journey.
Now I have the oil light buzzer (changed senders no difference), clock just a few random LCD bars and still no mfa.
Took the cluster out - looks like someone tried before to fix - my question is what are the red/yellow wires at bottom left - standard or bodge?
Thanks
Rob

Instrument cluster bodge
My clocks were no good as there was issues with the circuit board to the LCD itself.
The voltage regulator fits into the areas on the blue Mylar film circuit board. If they are soldered onto the socket then you may need a new blue foil.
