Settling In

Hi people.
Still fighting with my wiring loom!
Right after fixing my indicators and having all of my lights working correctly from the original loom with no more bodged wiring I got quite excited and booked my MOT for 8:15 in the morning.
Following this I went inside to get my dash board and then fitted it to the car, running the loom and popping the switches in the correct holes.
But now when I turn the side lights on I get dipped beam and when I turn the dipped beam on I get high beam.
The high beam does nothing from the indicator stalk with or without the headlamps on.
Any ideas? Ive checked the correct placement of wires etc.

MOTY 2013

check you have the flasher stalk clip hooked up to the flasher switch on the wiper stalk properly, easy one to miss!
with it coming straight to dip on 1st click, do you have a relay lighting loom fitted, and if so is it a later car with a dimdip resistor? if so, unplug it
