Does anyone have a wiring diagram / manual for the wiring of an mk1 and mk2 cluster? Saw one topic once explaining how to fit mk1 to mk2 engine. Of course I forgot to save that webpage…
Want to refit an original mk1 cluster I found at the junkyard yesterday. Some differences are more obvious than others.

Whip

Noun - Car
When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the whip. The term has now been generalised to classify any automobile.

Exactly! Thanks for that

I suppose there is no way to take the MFA of the mk2 and fit it in the mk1 tacho?
Also, what is the sensor unit doing behind the speedometer (yellow on mk2, absent on mk1)

I doubt it. Anyway that mk2 one is 16v and fairly rare so I wouldn't destroy it for a mk1 cluster.
