I've had a look for an ice section but can't find any. I'm looking for info/ ideas for speaker that will fit in the cabby door pocket thingy, then some speakers for the rear door card area. And what about under the parcel shelf holders, can I fit some there?all help appreciated. Thanks folks

What year is your cabby as they changed fronts are normally 5.25" rear are 6x4 but as new speakers have a built in tweeters they not such a great fit, plus they need to be shallow to allow window to go down. I'm currently looking for rear speakers for mine. The problem with speakers in shelf is that they will be muted when roof is down

Cabriolet speakers
Just fitted Hertz 4" in the rear door cards and Hertz 4x6 in the front… I have the old style speakers in my 1988 cabby.
Front speakers - unless you fit the later style speaker holders, or cut your door cards 5.25" won't fit.
The rears I've fitted are super little speakers fronts are good but VW factory location is stupid, low down, corner inside a big tin of a door.
I went mid range price wise Ã,£140 for both sets. You can get Alpines and Pioneer for Ã,£70 front and rear, half the price.
I would also fit new speaker wires, the old original cables are well, old and nasty.
Picture of rear speakers fitted last week…

If the rears weren't low in the rear corners you would never get your rear windows to roll down. On some of them I have seen there is a 1/1 to 1 inch difference in the way the rear windows roll down because of them hitting on the magnet.
On the 91.5 Cabbies the map pockets are 5 1/4 round, and the rears are 4X6…..
