Battery Alarm permanently on

Guys

1984 Mk1 Cabriolet GTI

The battery alarm has come on permanently.

Alternator seems to be ok battery is holding at 12.3 volts

Any ideas what is causing the alarm? IMG_5508.jpg

Well a voltage test when the car is running should show 13.5 -14vDC .
12.6 shows me that your alternator isn't charging sufficiently.

If you haven't replaced your main grounds engine to frame and frame to Battery, you may want to do so.

There is also my quick test that if your voltage is still at 12.6 take you alternator out and have it tested.
