Quick question, what door cards are these?
The inner grab handle has 170mm spacing between the mountnig points (and finding a replacement same size handle seems to be a nightmare…)

Looking at a 1983 brochure looks very much like the type of door trim fitted to the Golf C.

More likely someone preferred the clean look of the C door cards, or the previous GTI ones had been butchered to fit big speakers in.
