Hi guys can anyone recommend a product to remove rust and prevent it on my bumpers ?
Had shoulder surgery recently and I've been lacking on the cleaning.. All the rain has left me with this! Thanks in advance

That's not good, I'm surprised the chrome bumpers have gone rusty that quickly are they aftermarket ones?
I've got plastic bumpers on my car but from owning a proper mini (1976) many years ago I used to use wire wool and Autosol metal polish every 6 months but my bumpers never looked as rusty as yours and my car was a daily and left outside.
Found some info on metal polish

Yeah they are aftermarket. I was warned when I bought them they have a tendency to rust.
I was hoping for maybe something that gets rid of rust and something that will help prevent it!
Cheers

Try Silvo, the brother of Brasso!
I saw a post on an FB group the other day where someone had a chrome hubcap, it was well rusted and looked only fit for re-chroming.
With just silvo and a cloth - and a fair bit of elbow grease - it's looking like new again.
I was so impressed I've bought some! It's about a fiver so worth a shot

Yeah I couldn't believe it!! Worth a fiver of anyone's money if it works, and no great loss if it doesn't

To help before the Silvo try some tin foil and some coke (drinking type)
Pour some coke on the bumper and use the shiny side of the tin foil and rub at the rust. The aluminium from the foil gets into the pin holes left in the chrome and helps to fill them a bit, making the surface flatter and better for the next stage.
Plus you have a tasty beverage on hand during the work
