Mk1 clipper body kit

Post

Hi

I've got a mk1 Karmann Clipper and the front and rear bumpers don't fit properly (a large gap between the body and bumpers), is there any way to fix this? I'd like to invest in a new set but I can't find any anywhere, is there a place which stocks them or will i  need to find a second hand OEM part?

Many thanks

What year of your Ride.
Karmann was the manufacturer of the Cabriolet.

You can google for images of your year and mk1 vw Cabriolet and see pics of a Installed clipper, and the Gaps that there are normally.

Telling us where your clipper is gaping is going to help us help you, as the "Kit" is very Pricey and only available
as used.  So unless some one is parting out a "complete" kit, you are going to have to buy several different pieces in assorted colors from on-line sites like EBAY, Google, and Facebook Market Place, and well it is
a Sellers market and Priced as what will your pocket book afford.

Considering that I saw a perfect Cluster Bezel sell as much recently as I paid for a complete one owner 89 California based with 60K on it.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

There is a large gap from new so it could be normal.

Can you post up a picture with a tape measure or measure the gap and we can check if it's right.
