Front seat "rocking" in runners

I have replaced the white nylon guides on both sides and the front guide.
If I sit in the back of the car and hold the two legs that support the seat with the seat runners on the ends of them - the outer (near the sill) is totally firm and the nylon guide fills the runner - there is no movement.
On the inboard leg, by the gearshift tunnel, the guide does not fill the runner top to bottom - so I can rock it by a few mm. Is this normal????
Both my seats are the same, with the same amount of movement. Is it wear in the runner???? Seems hard to imagine as they are quite substantial.
Would really appreciate knowing what other members front seats are like .
Has anyone tried to correct this issue, I have though about trying to use a block of wood and hammer down the runner a smidge.
Thoughts most welcome!

Also the rocker clip with the outboard finger goes on the outside runner not the one nearest to the tunnel.
I have hear of folks placing an finger type to the inner and it stops the rock….
Never tried that myself.

Do you think OEM gliders are really any different in size to the aftermarket ones?????

I have seen Vast Differences in Kits over the years, and they are either Hard Plastic and smaller than OEM and not the Nylon/ squisshyness of the front.
There were 2 styles of kits.
The Cabriolet style with the clear front guide, and the Golf/Rabbit with the hard fast plastic that the pin goes through.

I ordered a pair of replacement inner seat runner guides. I was surprised when they arrived to find they were OEM VW items.
Measured them against the pattern part …. and……. 1.5MM difference in height compared to a new Topran copy part! Also the "tab" sticking out of the top was noticeably longer on OEM.
Not easy to see but in the pic below the Topran is on the left - OEM on the right.
Fitted the seats - NO ROCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very happy days!

This was the item I bought. When delivered they were VW originals. Certainly did the job to my amazement!
