Front seat belt mounts

The front seat belts are bolted to the hinge plate of the seats, so obviously wrong!

I can't see a boss or locator bracket welded to the floor pan or the centre tunnel, I've Googled it and looked a micro fishe and it appears there should be a bracket front the belts behind the seat rear leg?
If that is the case does anyone have an image of it so I can look at getting a couple made?

 

The year of the car would be nice to know, and are they 3 point or the 1 point shoulder.

On the early 1 point shoulder they are mounted to the side frame of the seat, and latch to the bracket attached to the door.

On the latter as in my 90's cabbies, the receiver is mounted to the left or right rear leg bracket.  Where as the retractor is on the "B" pillar lower.

It is usually the same for the one-point but there is also a steel bracket.

It's a 83 four door, and they're 3 mounting points.

Is the bracket welded to the seat leg?
I think I'll have a bracket welded to mine anyway as long as the MOT tester says it's okay!

The Bracket is welded to the Seat leg, IIRC has a nut welded on the back,  the seat belt receiver bolts to it with a 17mm bolt. If you look at the receiver its hole has two notches cut out on the hole this is so that it only can moe a bit one way or the other…. Oh it is on the inside leg of the seat bottom.
The weld is a pretty hurky one at that.

VW did move the seat belt bracket around some cars it's bolted to the floor and others to the seat leg depending on the year of the car.
If yours had passed the MOT then I'm sure it's fine, if worried fix the seat belt in place and give it a good tug.
