Fitting front wings

Hi, Would anybody know how the front wing to front panel beneath the bumper was sealed from factory? Was it sealed flush with no gap or recessed slightly showing a gap? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There wasn't any gap that I know of, and sealed with Waxoil, and then topped with undercoat on my 81 and my cabbies.
