Door seal fitting help

I've just purchased what were meant to be genuine VW doors seals for a 3dr to find that they actually are not genuine as they dont have the cut out for the door strap or the fixing holes and they also appear way to long. Picture attached. Any help would be most appreciated

If they are too long, then they may be for a different car as in a 2 door vs 4 door, caddy or Cabriolet.
Call them or write them a quick email (the vendor) and verify that you either got the wrong part or that you may have to cut them, Hint if you have to cut them use a piece of vinyl and urethane sealer to hold the two parts together. But on the sides I thought there were little clips that you placed on the insides and popped in to the door frame.
