?WRONG ROOF ! Help a newbie please

Looking at options fitted in my cabriolet and it looks like all of the codes I can see are for original mark 1s rather than 1988
In fact I can barely make them out .
Has a black hood ( i think it should be grey!)
Has had a choke cable removed from the left of the steering wheel ..
The front seats are slightly wrecked but in the original material which I cant find[ to buy.
Filthy seats so think vinyl is grey but not sure about surrounding material
Basically loads of questions!

You can go out and research the vin, and I don't remember the free site, some one here will.  But I went out to the VWMuseum, and requested a Birth Certificate, and it had the mcodes for my vin.

The Mcodes that are on your white decal affixed to the rear strut cross bar in the boot should be accurate for your car.

mine were always affixed in this location. Screen Shot 2025-04-01 at 5.59.51 PM.png

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

VW Classic Parts took over selling "birth certificates" from the VW Museum quite a while ago, available at the following link:
