Cabriolet Roof gas struts

I have always been missing the gas struts for the roof, and just put up with it, but recently decided to get a pair of struts to fit them, to make raising and lowering the roof easier.
When taking a look today I seem to be missing the part in the attached photo.
The roof frame has the fixing for the other end of the strut, but there is no where for it to fix at the bottom.
Question is, did all cars come with gas struts for the roof? The car in question is an early 1983 Clipper (small bumper if that makes a difference)
Below are photos of the car, and there the missing link as it were should be.

It’s the bottom strut bracket that I seem to be missing. I’ve managed to do some more Google sleuthing and I have found the following part numbers from this thread:
155871838B right
155871837B left
Can’t find anywhere selling them online (unsurprisingly) so I’ll have to see if anyone that is break a cabby has some available.
