Cabrio rear window frame.

Hi all,

The rear inner window frame on my cabriolet is basically gone and needs to be replaced.

I have the opportunity of a second hand one which is in much better condition but needs rust treatment.

My question is that there appears to be a plastic insert in it where the staples are driven in.

Can this be seperated from the metal part of the frame so i can media blast it and paint it?

I can`t see how this nylon/plastic thing seperates from the metal frame.

pm Chortle here as he has a source for the frames and the inners.  I would trust his new ones to a used one that has to be reworked.
