Looking for acid dipping near London.
I am looking to have my mk1 acid dipped. Does anyone know of a place near to London or in London anywhere that does whole car acid dips and everything?
Cheers.

I've heard stories that there'll still be acid in some/most crevices and caused the paint to bubble..
I would go for sandblasting/dustless blasting if you need to go to bare metal.
Maybe attach some picture of your shell?

Is your shell really that bad?

It's nothe extremely bad a little bit of rust and in the boot and some surface rust, a tiny rust hole in the wheel well. It's more just to future proof the car.
Do you recon just getting it sandblasted is better? It needs to be stripped back to bare metal as it is due to an issue with the original painting having a reaction with the new paint.

I've heard some horror stories from acid dipping, but I've heard far more happy stories about it.. Kim Cowdens mk1 for example..

Get it shot blasted. Acid dipping gets everywhere so you'll need to reprotect all the insides of the pillars, chassis legs, sills etc. or it will rust from the inside out. Unless you can find somewhere which will e coat a shell I would get it shot blasted.
Surface Processing fully e coat the shell as part of thier process, its fully submerged in the stuff and agitated!
