1983 Tintop Foowell Finising

Evening all,

Just wondering if anyone has a picture of how the side of the footwell was finished on Mk1 1983 Tintop? Was it carpet, vinyl or a trim piece? Any help would be great, picture below for reference of the area in question. Thanks Kev

Hi, I have an 83 tiptop, though not a GTI.

It should be carpet., same colour as your floor carpet.

I have an I83 Gti and as Macom says, carpet.

As previous responses, it is a piece of edged black carpet. This is the RHS fitment.
