Lumpy idle, back fire on deceleration, top speed limited

Finally have my Mk1 Cabby running on it new KR engine in Mallorca.

I do have a few issues now though:

  1. When the car now idles, it's lumpy, but not consistently lumpy
  2. On deceleration the engine starts to backfire, then when slowing to turn sometimes cuts out
  3. The engine pulls strongly upto 3000 revs, but then struggles to get above 3500 revs
  4. I have fitted new fuel tank, fuel lifter, sender, new injectors, thou roughly cleaned the braided injector hoses.

All help, ideas, suggestions, very much appreciated!

ok cool the main pump will be fine then, have a look thru the tuning guide above  and make sure all the base settings are correct and see where that getys you. i assume fuel accumulator was left in?

Yes, i even managed to get a brand new old stock boxed bosch fuel accumulator, so that has been changed too!
