VW Cabby 16v Engine Conversion : Crankshaft Replacement

What is the easiest way to replace the crank?

How long to remove the engine?

If I buy a secondhand crankshaft which does not need grinding and new stock bearings, can this be re-fitted without balancing?

Any help much appreciated

It can be done while the engine is in  , the two sump bolts near the gearbox are an absolute bit*h bit doable. 


I have a couple of cranks spare, I'm no expert but I'd have thought you could just swap it.
