MK2/3/4 steering column into a MK1 Rabbit cabrio.

Hello,

I just recently bought a 1984 rabbit cabrio project car thats completely torn apart, and it came with a full MK4 VR6/02J trans, harness, ecm, fuse box, ignition switch w/key and FBW fuel pedal.
I am wondering what steering column to use, i want to use mk4 ignition swtich as well as to be able to use cruise control.

I appreciate any info or help.

I just joined this page and this is my first post. 

Easiest way to do is get some mk3 stalks with ignition switch. Fits on the mk1 column. You need to convert the ce1 electrics to ce2 the mk3 has though. Very easy did it 20 years ago.

Don’t mess with bracket fabrications and parents to make another column fit.
