Can anyone advise me on these seat adaptors?, on ebay I see various sizes advertised for the mk1 and its confusing (dosent help when the listing is in german)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151298786297?euid=f60fc794a22845688bf1e26e734c06a9&cp=1

This listing for example has 2 sizes can anyone tell me what is the more common size?

no console 345x280mm

large console 405x280mm

Not sure what this console even refers to but I think the more common size is 402X280 but i cant find any of these dimensions on either my rails or the seats…. what is 280mm? the length of the rail ?

This may, or may not be of any use but might at least send you in the right direction…

I've frames that were fabricated using parts cut from standard seats so as to slot into the existing MK1 floor hardware.

Whoever made them ensured there were attachment holes to allow off the shelf, semi-universal Recaro seat sliders to be fitted atop the frames.

The Recaro sliders are exactly 405mm in length and the cannibalised slider from a standard Golf seat is exactly 280mm from back to centre of foremost bolt hole.

Presumably that matches the amount of fore/aft movement with a standard seat.

One of the Recaro sliders in the piccy below is fully extended forward and the other fully to the rear (Gives approx 10cm travel in either direction).

The eBay frames look like they are static once fitted, the sliders alone would then allow for adjustment.

With my frames adjustment could either be by moving the entire frame on the standard floor slider or by using the Recaro sliders (or I suppose both for extra long travel)
