16v running hot.
Hi I’ve just completed my 16v conversion with a top fill radiator…..however it’s running hot…very hot. Can someone please help with any suggestions? I know people have used BMW ones but has anyone else had the same problem if so how did you get around this.
I’ve found this but don’t really have the cash to keep spending money as it’s broke me.
Any help is much appreciated as always.
Cheers

Hi
When i first installed it when the engine would get upto temperature it would kill the engine then run the fan. I gathered this was another electrical fault so I have temporary wired it direct so it always runs, and the thermostat is ok…not stuck closed, because everything gets hot.
Cheers

Thanks for your help guys. I found the problem. My engine wasn't running hot. I checked the temperature of it using a laser thermometer and it was running at 90° and rad was cooling it nicely. So the problem I had was the wrong sender to the clocks…..silly me.
Cheers again for the help hope this helps someone else out.
