MK1 ABF servo pipe to inlet mani

Post

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the modifications to do, e.g. used the mk1 or the ABF pipe.

I'v had a play and my conclusion is to trim the ABF down and change the rubber pipe which connects to the mani from straight to an elbow. What have others done?

Finally, for some reason i didn't label where this small vacuum hose should connect to, help please

Thanks

yeah thats what i did basically, non return valve in the middle a couple of elbow bits and a mk1 valve part thingy pushed into the brake servo rubber.

vac pipes depend what management you're running, and if you have an mfa cluster or not. plus if its abf management if its late inlet or early

Im running ABF management and iv got the late inlet. I dont have an  mfa cluster, although I was debating getting one. Do you think it is worth it?

Thanks

ok, vac nipple on back of inlet goes to ecu, 1m length pipe for this. nipples on throttle both blocked. the nipples on the servo pipe are both unused, if you do decide to install an mfa the vac hose from the clocks will go to one of the nipples :)

whether its worth it is up to you really, oil temp is useful but you could just install a vdo gauge. rest of the functions are gimmiks really but fun to have ;)

Right sorted out the set up detailed above. I dont have an MFA cluster, thought I did as it has the LCD screen but no vacuum hose.

If I have blocked the reset of the nipples off on the inlet what do I do with the regulator on top of the fuel injectors.

Currently there is a short pipe connected with a label saying to inlet mani. Do I block this or just let it vent into the air?

Cheers

there is a nipple on the driver side of the inlet, FPR goes there :)

on the front of the inlet near isv is another nipple for the PCV valve (plastic thing the breather goes to)

pic of the pipe?
