Afternoon all. Currently in the process of putting a 9A lump into the golf and at the moment im trying to sort out the metering head. Ive searched on the net and other sites to see what people do. The current 9A im trying to put in fouls the bonnet when i try and close it. Some people have said they swapped to a slimmer box? And even chopping the bottom of the air box to suite? Whats the best option? Any help would be appreciated

Which meter head did you cut down?

MOTY 2013

i cut all the bottom of the airbox off, plus a 90spec mk2 or 9a meterign head boot is a lot shallower than the pre-90 mk2 one. i ended up streeeetching a mk1 inlet boot over as thats all i had at the time. the 16v airbox hole is a bit bigger so its a very tight fit!
