Engine mount on ABF

I am trying to fit a Mk1 1.8 GTI engine mount to my ABF engine but I have 2 issues;
1) have I fitted the bush into the mount 180 degrees out as I can't get a socket onto the top bolt head;


2) How does the lower belt cover fit when the engine mount is fitted? Or can't it be used with a Mk1 mount?;

Yes the bush looks upside down to me, and the cambelt cover needs "adjustment" to fit.

Cheers abfmk1, I should of got you to fit the bush 😄.
I'll try and press it out and refit it.
I'll have a closer look at the cover to see how much adjustment I need with a hacksaw.

Don't cut the lower cover tight to the engine mount, leave a 20-30mm gap to allow clearance for the chassis bracket ad captive nut, etc

As said, rubber mount definitely upside down. I had to use a fly press to get mine out…
