Dual carb for 1100

I want to improve my 1100 GG engine, as I am rebuilding it for a full restoration.
I saw on a lot of Polo that it's possible to put double carb type DCOE or DHLA with the good manifold.
There's a lot of conversion for 1300, but almost no one for 1100…
So I have serveral questions :
- Is it possible on a 1100 ? I really want to keep my orginal GG engine, don't want swap
-DHLA is cheaper, is it better to put DCOE ?
-My head is with mechnical lifters, and with holes for heating the manifold : is it compatible with the new manifold ?
-Does "sport" camshaft exists for head like mine ? I found a lot for hydraulic lifters but not for mechanical.
Thanks for your help

You'll need to jet them right down though.
You're after side draft carbs as its easier to find the manifolds for side drafts. It is possible to get down draft types of manifolds but we won't go there
DHLA is just Dellortos version of the Webber DCOE. Personally I prefer the Dellorto to the Weber. But very little difference. Just be careful with Webbers as only one type is for all use, the others are car specific.
I've done a twin carb conversion on a mech head and it's fine.
No sport cam shaft I wouldn't have thought but I could be wrong.
