car wont start/idle

Does anyone know the chip (removed from the key) position required inside the ignition coil on a later ABF ignition in order to deactivate the immobiliser on the ABF ECU?

I have a 16V ABF in my Mk1 with the later ECU that has an immobiliser - the engine has been in the car for over 12 years and has been fine for the most part - ive encountered this problem in the past on hot days when the chip thats is taped inside the ignition coil gets loose due to the hot weather and it slips out of place. When this happens im usually able to get it started by tricking about with new tape and securing the chip in the coil.

For the past 2 weeks i havent been able to position the chip to deactivate the immobiliser and its now becoming an issue - the car will turnover start for 1 second then cut out. Ive checked the battery/fuel/fuses etc and all appear ok, to remedy this for good i plan to bypass the immobiliser but i need the car running in order to get it to a place that can do this.

Has anyone had similar issues with these immobilisers? Was told before that it dosent matter what position the chip is inside the loop as long as its secure and within proximity of the sensor - i think its needs to be more specific as ive been 2 weeks now trying to tape it in place and no matter what way i stick it it wont start up :banghead:
