1.8T Gearbox Help.

Hi Guys,

Anyone able to help me with a Gearbox solution for the MK1 1.8T conversion, I know it has to be an O2J but what code does that gearbox have to be?, gear ratios are wreaking my head lol. Need something that will allow low enough revs on motorway but still let me pull on up the MPH top end. Any help appreciated

general consensus is you want a diesel box, 02a or 02j both fine. if its later 02j with 108mm flange cups you will need to change the cups on the gearbox for 100mm early 02j or 02a ones. 2 types of cup on the 02a so make sure you get right one for the 02j, bolt in or clip in
