1.8t conversion expansion tank

What are most people doing for the expansion tank with the 1.8t conversion ? Is the mk1 tank up to the task ? If I use the 1.8t bottle will the level sensor work if spliced to mk1 wiring ?

I have both so just looking for a heads up

the standard bottle is upto the task, but if moving it to the o/s i found the mk3 bottle was more suitable

as above, MK1 res is fine but it wont fit so nice on the driver side. your mk4 bottle is fine to use, splice the plug to the mk1 level wiring and the mk1 level warning system will work fine as will 90spec mk2/mk3 roundy tank

mk2 90spec reservoir bracket unbolts so thats handy for you, mk2 90spec and mk3 tank is the same plus iirc the mk4 bottle pretty much straight fit to the 90spec bracket?
