02J Gear Tower Short Shift Conversion

Went and bought 8N0711051B, but it appears the weight is on the side and not the top so jars against the gearbox mount… Could cut the weight, but need the right part and there is far too many opinions in different threads…

Any ideas of the right part number?

I used same part number with 'A' suffix on AMK engine

How did you find it overall?

I'm thinking of raising the shifter in the cab by around 3" or extending it by 3-4 so it's closer to my wheel…
