mk1 1.1 insurance for 17 year old?

Ive been quoted stupid prices on the online brokers does anyone know the best brokers to call up?

Not sure about any brokers but would think being 17 you are going to be quoted stoopid prices where ever you go.

Prev comments on here stated that many ins companies don't even list MK1 Golfs on their systems as they are that old and counter intuitively a newer more expensive car will be cheaper to insure (ABS and airbags etc that a MK1 don't have)
