Lancaster Insurance

Hi Chaps bit disapointed in lancaster insurance maybe i need to give them a bell, my qute was what for it ………………………..£1156.

I'm not sure whats going on here, probably to do with me having no….no claims discount as ive a company car for the past 2 years and before that since i was 20 ive never had a claim so did have plenty of years no claims bonus.

Classic policy? Most classics don't take ncb into account anyway.

I'm with Lancaster on my Mercedes, always been good to me. 7k agreed value and 130 quid to insure. 

And my old swallowtail was 120 quid, 9k agreed value. 

Classic policies are only appropriate if its a second car - I think one of the policy stipulations is that you have another main car. Hence why the NCB isn't relevant on it.

Sounds like it's a normal policy not a classic.
I use Bishop Calway for my classic insurance.
Other companies weren't competitive.
Give Bishops a call.
I'd explain the company car but.
It's not like your a new driver

Last year my insurance was £160 with Lancaster. They sent me a renewal for over £200! Did an online quote with them and it was just over £150. Not going to use them again. Did an on line classic car insurance comparison site and got it for £105.

You just need to talk to them.
I phoned for my beetle in the week. 175 pounds sir…….. err no…… how much were you expecting to pay? 95 pounds…. let me speak to my manager… yeah we can do that for you. 

Done. 

Spoke with them. They said they couldn't do any better. 

I have a Classic, multi car, agreed value and retention policy with another company as Lancaster couldn't offer me what I wanted. Its cheap.
