1991 Cabby

tHi
I am working my way through various stages of restoring a 91 Clipper to MOT standard. Hope to have it sorted by April.
I would wish to insure it fully comp as a second car with limited annual mileage, say 3000.

Grateful for any thoughts/recommendations on competitive insurance companies.
cheers

Lancaster Insurance or Footman James are usually good mate, mine came in at £211 fully comp with Lancaster Insurance and I can drive any car which is not bad.

Peter James:
Home - Peter James Insurance

He was the James of Footman James. I've been with them since my previous insurer Aon, bought  Footman James in 2003, and the service plummeted and the cost rose. I have a multiple classic car policy which I chop and change a bit without hassle (inside office hours). I've never made a claim though……

I used Flux Direct and my 1982 GTI cab on 3k miles a year, fully comp, yet to agree the value cost me £59 a year with £14 to agree the value

Interesting - I've just had a request for insurance rejected on a 92 Rivage because Footman James now only look after cars over 30 years old… something new apparently!

Will keep looking I guess. Might try Flux direct based on the below!

Performance direct gave me a good quote. £95 fully comp for the year 3000 miles a year, £150 excess

Cheaper than the pet insurance!

Oddly enough I have a few cars insured through a couple of brokers and they both use the same company despite vehicle age restrictions! . I would also look at salvage retention.
