yet more idle probs!!!aaaaaghhh

Can anyone please help,i have an 83 1.1 formel that just will not tick over. !!I have checked all jets,replaced plugs leads dizzy cap and arm,points and condensor all to no avail,so now im looking to the idea its to do with fuelling.Any ideas :dontknow:  any advice appreciated.

What carburettor do you have ?

Is it idle at cold that you have a problem with or when warm ?

How does it drive ?

rusty fuel filler neck????

even a wee bit near the top put me to a standstill im still clearing up after months!!!

check inline filter.

you can replace neck for 40 squid gsf if you have to.

lots of ppl mention rubber mount between carb and manifold letting in air.
ive got this to check now as im having the same issue and have sorted the original cause of rust before!!!!??
