Something a little different...

Me and a friend got to thinking the other day of what engine would go in my Golf 1.1 'C' 4 Speed, wouldn't rape the tax, would provide more power and be something a bit different…

The conclusion ….. The 1.4 16V 100 BHP Polo 6N Engine.

Now, that's as far as the conversation went. BUT i haven't been able to get the idea out of my mind - so how hard would it be?

I have heard from people on Retro Rides that the mounts are similar, etc but what about gearbox  - ideally I wanna swap 2 5 speed.

Id be using the original ECU and transferring as much as I could from a donor vehicles if i did it - as far as I can find there's only one guy who's done it using twin dellerto carbs i think.

Need as much help as I can get guys - any advice PLEASE

its getting a bit more common now and a fair few people are running them on bike carbs (like i will be..)
