Setting the timing

Hi,

I run my 1.1 golf C on unleaded petrol. When I set the ign. timing should I be aiming for 10 degrees BTC or should I be retarding the timing….

I run my old Polo on unleaded and find that it runs better a little advanced. If you haven't got any pinking I would leave it as it is Cheers.

Yes, you should be able to run a non-GTi on 95 RON unleaded with no change to ignition timing.
