Rubber Carb Mount

i've found out why my car is drinking petrol (120 miles on last tank!), took it round a friends to have a look and a tune and as we were putting the carb back together we noticed the rubber mount that holds the carb to the manifold has a massive split in it.

is there an easy way to chaneg the carb?
is it easier to remove the 4 bolts from under the manifold or to remove the manifold? as the engine is in the car.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi i fitted a new one about 6 months ago …undo the  4 nuts  first new mount avalible from german/swedish southampton about ?14
