No Spark

I had the motor on axle stands for about 2 weeks it worked when i drove into position ad when it came down it was dead.  ive change the spark plugs and the points.  Still dead.  Fuel is coming through.  I dont know what to do.

Have you got 12V at the coil?

i was jump starting it from another motor so i would assume there is 12v there.

What have you done when the Car was on axle stands?

I also ask - have you got 12v at the coil? No good saying you did then, now it is important.

Doesn't mean that there's 12v at the coil. Measure the voltage with a meter at the coil whilst the ignition is on.

Never assume, it makes an 'ass' of 'u' and 'me'.

If you've touched nothing else other than the plugs and the points and the leads are on correctly then it must be a problem with the points. Try taking the cap off, turn the engine until the points close, turn the ignition on and then break the points, you should get a small spark. If you don't get it there must be a wiring fault.
