GOLF QUESTIONS

hello, im looking to buy a mk1 1.1 but the one im after needs a new manifold, now will the manifold from a j reg polo 1.1 fit.

Also does the small light mk1 have a towing ring at the front. thanks

by law all cars have to have a means of towing the vehicle forwards and backwards so i'd think it does.

not sure on the manifold though sorry.

i would say it was the outlet manifold, the car im looking at had a weber carb on it, the guy sold the carb with the matching mainfold, i dont know if that gives you ne ideas. thanks for the help guys

The carb goes on the inlet manifold. I'd say the inlet manifold is quite generic across the variations of cars the engine was used in, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue to source another one of them. The exhaust manifold is probably more unique, for each car.

thanks alot for the help guys, do u know ne good breakers for bits like that. the only reason im asking about the polo is ive got a made selling a whole car for ?50 and its got MOT so i know the engine bits are still good. thanks

i have one if you want it but the other one should fit as my golf one fitted my g40 but didn't clear the charger so had to change it for a 4 branch
