Electronic ignition for 1.3 driver

What doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.
Mk1 will be back.
Mk1 will be back.

I bought it for my son's Driver - fitted it in late July - made a big difference to starting and general running - also added about 4mpg instantly
Not cheap, but worthwhile
Slightly fiddly to fit the gubbins into the distributor - actually, that's not true - its a doddle to fit, but its a bit fiddly making sure the wires don't touch the optical chopper when the vacuum advance is activated.

wow very clever what you did there…
I thought so - glad to be of assistance

You need Optronic fitting kit FK217 for the Bosch dizzy - about ?18 on top of the ?160 - ?180 for the ignition module (RRP is ?195, but you can usually get a bit of a discount)

Would the same kit be suitable for a '79 1.1?
Almost certainly (but check before you part with your money)
The Lumenition application list says:
Bosch 0231-186- 009/015/017/023/024/037/038 with top
bearing plate (screws to internal circlip) - NOT 0231-191
onwards
So - as long as the 1.1 dizzy is in the list above, it should work just fine
