Hey, How do you set the dwell angle accurately on a 1.3 engine?

Can't believe with contact less ignition kits so cheap you are still using points ?

  

ive got an ampmetre with dwell.  How do you adjust the angle?

The dwell is a degree measurement of the points gap . More accurate than using feeler guages .

ive put the metre on the motor and its reading 65.  The manual says it should be between 45 - 50.  how do i decress the measured number?

Increase the points gap reduces the dwell
Decrease the points gap increases the dwell

So you need too reduce the points gap
