Best radiator??

Hi. looking at getting a new rad at the end of the week, any pointers as to which one to get and where from?

Its a top fill at the min, but i'm sure my car has a bracket for a header tank??

It would be mate, and its definitely in much better condition than mine haha, but I'm only changing it for looks really so I was after a brand new one, slowly working my way round the engine bay now replacing tired parts with new ones. Gotta drive the thing to Belgium next year so want to make sure its all gravy by then. Cheers though mate!

No worries mate. I've got that one going to waste at the moment. Gonna Fleabay it soon.

I got a new radiator from GSF car parts about four years ago for my 1.3 golf - same top fill like yours. No problems with it and it has had a number journeys from Scotland down to Bristol over the last few years. Unless you are changing the engine probably no point in getting the larger block style radiator.

I've got a GSF radiator in my shopping basket ready to go, but just noticed Adrad do one for pretty much £20 cheaper.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I got my radiator from the internetweb - nothing special, chances are they're all made in the same factory anyhow, but at least with GSF you'll have a receipt and somewhere to return it to!

Yea fair point, probably worth the extra wonga for somewhere to complain if it fails within 12 months.
