Hi all,
Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but how will i know if a standard airbox will fit my engine/carb. is there anything i need to measure?
The reason i ask is because i am planning on cleaning up my engine so it looks more original. The engine in my golf is a HK engine which i believe is from a MK2 golf and looks like this;
I want to get rid of the airfilter housing and cold air feed as they ruin the look of the bay IMO and thus i am looking to replace with the standard plastic one;
Thanks in advance for any help

It won't fit (without modification)
The standard GF runs a solex carb and HK runs a Pierberg.
I like the metal HK airbox I think it looks more period than the plastic original.
