AFH engine coversion into driver

Hi folks can anyone help, I'm planning on putting an AFH (polo 1.4 16v)in my mk1 . Does anyone know if it will mount to a 085 gearbox & if so what clutch do you reccomend.

Also what bits(fuel lines & lift pump etc from which model?) do I need to get as I plan to keep it fuel injected, bike carbs aren't my thing.

yeah it will, fit a sachs 1.3 clutch kit and make sure you have a matched flywheel.

for fueling MK3 polo gt/g40 lift + main pump, reservoi and filter plus bracketry and lines will be a good fit on a MK1, theyre all mounted inline in the Polo so dont take up much room

Being dumb here what do you mean by matched flywheel?

flywheel from the same car as the clutch you buy, there are a few different sized clutches for the small block engines

Sorry for all the questions, would a Mk1 GTI fuel pump & tank work with braided fuel lines or would it be easier to get all the items from the polo?

yeah you could use mk1 gti pump & lines, if you can get under car li9nes in good nick. this is why i say go for the polo mk3 lines as they're plastic so dont rot

I could not get the POLO GT Pump/Filter/Accumulator to fit without hacking off the filter and mounting it up front.

How much effort is this conversion? I'm considering it as Ive got a polo GT to break with an AFH engine and all ancilleries ready to go…
