A couple of questions

Hello all, I have recently bought a spare 1300 (gf engine code I believe) engine and box out of a mk2. I assume they're all the same? Anywho, I'm going to be stripping it down and cleaning it up. But it'll need all the gaskets doing. So, does anyone know where I can get a full gasket set from? I've looked and couldn't see one. cheers guys

have you checked vw heritage? i know they do most gaskets

They can be found on ebay. I have just stocked up myself.

Thanks all, I'm just unsure wether the other engine I've got is different. It's the 3 bolt rocker cover not the 8 bolt that's on it. Is that engine still a straight swap?
I can't see the engine code unfortuately.

It will be Hydro engine. so will need a different gasket kit. My guess a MH engine if its out of Mk2 Golf?

It is pretty much a straight swap. you might have to lengthen some wires and coolent pipes might need some jigging.
