1.3 Reboring.

I was wondering if anyone has ever done this? and what there experiences were with it?

I believe a while ago i saw someone rebore a 1.3 to a 1.4, and was curious to it's results. Or any thoughts and feelings on this matter.

I know the majority of people say that it's not worth tinkering with the small block engines, however i haven't seen this mentioned much.

Pointless.

One of the great things with a 1.3 and 1.1 is that you can just rev them until the valves come out and they love it - if you bore the engine out (I believe they can only be 4 sizes bigger, which is 100cc) you'll have heavier pistons which means the power will be limited lower down.

Also, the expense will be ruinous, assuming you can get pistons to begin with.

If you're going to mess around with the engine that much, you may as well find a hot cam (272 or 300) which will make the car much more responsive, although hopeless in traffic
